Lookah Egg 510 Vape Battery Review: Small but Packs a Punch

 The vape cart battery has always been the focal point for the whole industry. If the battery isn't powerful enough - or it's made with low-quality materials - then users will have a bad time.

In recent years, Lookah has developed a wide range of 510 thread batteries, offering options for different vaping needs.

The Egg battery is one of their latest additions, featuring a variety of functions that make it a noteworthy choice.

In this review, we’ll take a closer look at the Lookah Egg Battery, exploring its features and considering whether it would be a good addition to your vaping device collection.

Unique Egg-Shaped Design

When you first hold the Lookah Egg , you might not immediately recognize it as a 510 thread battery, especially without a cartridge inserted.

This is largely due to its sleek egg-shaped design, which enhances its overall appearance. It comes with a glossy black upper half and a vibrant color combination on the lower half.

Super Portability

It is extremely small that about the size of a walnut, lightweight and pocket friendly, ideal for on-the-go use.

Its compact, rounded body features soft silicone case and subtle ridges, fitting comfortably in the palm.

Battery Life and Charging

The Lookah Egg features a 350 mAh lithium-ion battery. Usage varies relative to the frequency of use and the voltage settings, but on average you’ll be able to get around 180 hits which will be good enough for one day’s use for very heavy users.

The USB-C charging port can be found on the bottom of the vape and can have your device fully charged in as little as 40 minutes. Just connect a USB cable to the port and plug the other end into a 5V power source.

USB-C is universally used in the majority of electronic devices nowadays, so there is no need to carry an extra cable with you while you are on the move

When the battery is out of power, it will flash red. The lights will turn solid green when it has reached a full charge.

To check your battery percentage, look at the color of led light near the charging port:

Green = 61% – 100%
Yellow = 31% – 60%
Red = 1% – 30% / Time for a recharge

Five Variable voltage settings

Despite its small size, The Lookah Egg battery offers a wide range of voltage settings, accommodating the preferences of most concentrate users.

With 5 pre-set voltage options ranging from 2.4V to 4.0V in 0.4V increments, each setting is clearly indicated by a corresponding color of LED indicators: Green, Blue .

To adjust the voltage settings, simply press the power button twice on the top.

The lower voltage settings produce lighter and richer-flavor vapor for a smoother, more flavorful hit. On the other hand, Higher voltage leads to stronger vapor production but can decrease the flavor.

For distillate, I stick to the middle or highest setting; for live rosin or resin carts, the lowest or middle works best.

Live resin is packed with terpenes, but it’s sensitive to heat. High voltage settings may burn off those delicate terpenes.

I suggests keeping the voltage below 3.0 volts for live resin carts. This lower voltage helps preserve flavour and aroma, offering the best vaping experience.

Compatibility and versatility

The Lookah Egg uses a top-loaded 510 threading rather than a conceal type. So it can hold any sized cartridge so you never have to worry about whether a cart will fit like you do with most conceal batteries like the Lookah Snail 2.0.

Another pro is that it works with both 510 thread oil carts, and wax atomizers made by lookah for great versatility.

Whether you prefer thin oils or thick concentrates, the Lookah Egg adjusts instantly to the viscosity and needs of your cartridge, guaranteeing the best possible experience.

Dual Vaping Modes: on-demand and session

The device supports both on-demand (manual) and session (automatic) mode, which is great because it means you can pair both for a great draw.

Session Mode: By activating session mode (triple clicking the button), the battery stays active for a 10-second session, allowing for continuous vaping without the need to keep pressing the button.

On-Demand mode: You can inhale from the mouthpiece only when the button is pressed, giving users control over each session.

Both modes work well, although On-demand mode drains the battery more. It’s a little disappointing there is no Pre-heat function, but I’m a big fan of the automatic mode and would gladly take this over pre-heat.

Ease of Use

The Lookah Turtle stands out with its ease of use, featuring a straightforward single-button operation that can toggle between different voltage settings and vaping modes.

It also features 2 clear LED lights (One on top and the other on the bottom) for monitoring battery life and voltage settings.

Here is how to use it:

Step 1: Screw the 510 cartridge onto the battery.

Step 2: Press the power button 5 times quickly to turn on the battery.

Step 3: Select the voltage level from one of the 5 presets by pressing the button 2 times quickly.

Each voltage is indicated by a different color of LED light on the top: green for 2.4V, blue for 2.8V, Purple for 3.2V, Cyan for 3.6V, and White for 4.0V.

Step 4: Press and hold the power button to start your session by inhaling from the mouthpiece.

Step 4.5: You can also click the button three times quickly to enter the session mode. It will auto-heat the vape cart for 10 seconds and you can inhale vapor without pressing the button.

Step 5: Press the button 5 times quickly to turn it off when not in use. The indicator light will flash 3 times to indicate that.

Value for Money

At $25.49, it's an affordable and innovative option for users looking for a portable, and sleek 510 battery that's packed with features.

Conclusion

The Lookah Egg certainly holds a unique position in the realm of 510 thread batteries. With its sleek design, ease of use, super portability, and solid manufacturing quality, it not only looks decently but also gets the job done.

The ability to customize your vaping sessions with multiple voltage settings is a significant advantage, catering to a wide range of user preferences.

Portability is another strong suit of the Lookah Egg, fitting comfortably in a pocket or palm for easy transport and use.

However, the 350mAh battery capacity may not be sufficient for heavy users, limiting its appeal for extended sessions.

Despite this minor drawback, the Lookah Egg will have a distinct fan base and bring innovative features to the market.
