Lookah Snail 2.0 Review: A Stylish, Portable, and Discreet 510 Vape Cart Battery

Finding the right 510 vape battery can enhance your vaping experience significantly.

The Lookah Snail 2.0 is a compact, discreet 510 thread battery designed for those who value aesthetics and portability.

It features a 350mAh capacity, 3 adjustable voltage settings from 3.2V to 4.2V, button activation, and a 10-second pre-heat mode for smooth, clog-free hits.

But is it worth buying? How does it compare to other similar devices on the market? Read the full review to determine if it is right for you.

Sleek Snail-Shaped Design

Like other Lookah 510 batteries this product has a unique look that is not cookie-cutter. The circular shape with its contrasting colors gives it a distinctive and appealing look.

The Lookah Snail 2.0 is roughly shape of a snail, which is cute and surprisingly useful. It becomes more snail like in appearance when the 510 cart is attached.

There are eight colors available which all look great and feel sleek. These colors are green, black, blue, orange, red, gray, yellow, and purple.

Solid Build Quality

The chassis of the Snail 2.0 battery is constructed from durable zinc-alloy and safe plastics.

It does have a little premium feel and not break easily if dropped or mishandled.

The power/function button is firm, clicky, and satisfying to use.

Portability, Stealth and Discretion

The Snail 2.0 is highly compact and portable, coming in at just under 2 inches high. Plus, thanks to its unique and innovative design, your cartridges will barely protrude from this device at all.

It’s super easy to hide in the palm of your hand, conceals most cartridges inside its base, only exposing the mouthpiece, which makes the unit discreet.

Its unique design means the Snail 2.0 is a fantastic little device for anyone for whom portability and stealth is a priority.

Battery Life

As a pocket-friendly powerhouse, it only features a 350mAh capacity, which will give users about 200 hits, and should be enough to last moderate users one day.

It is perfect for those short one-off vaping sessions. However, Battery capacity might be limiting for heavy users.

For those of you who want longer sessions, you may want to try Lookah Zero battery, which comes with a 650 mAh capacity, and has a concealed design.

Something to note is that the Snail 2.0 uses Micro-USB charging while the newer lookah batteries uses USB-C which some users might find more attractive.

The Snail 2.0 comes with a micro USB cable too in case you don’t have one just note it is a bit short.

It doesn't support pass-through charging, so you probably aren’t supposed to use it while it’s charging anyway.

Heat Settings and Preheat Function

The power settings are 3.2v (blue) 3.6v (purple) and 4.1v (white), allowing users to customize their vaping experience based on their preferences or the requirements of different oils.

Lower voltages offer a smoother, cooler experience with less vapor production but are often preferred for flavor preservation. Higher voltages produce more vapor and stronger hits but can diminish flavor.

Once the device is on, you can choose to use one of three preset voltage output levels by Pressing the power button twice. The LED Light on the top will light up a different color for each voltage output.

For my usage style (terps) the 4.1v setting is probably higher than I would need, maybe an extra one below 3.2V would have been cool, I'll probably stay on 3.2V for most of my favorite carts.

Flavor on the Raw Garden and Cresco cart is noticeably better on green, especially the Cresco which is liquid live resin and a bit thicker than Raw Garden distillate, and doesn't vaporize as quickly; so it works better with lower temps.

The Snail 2.0 also comes with a pre-heat function, which warms up the cartridge for 10 seconds at low voltage. This can be activated by pressing the button triple.

This action aids in clearing any blockages in the cartridge or heating the coil more efficiently for an improved draw, ensuring smooth and consistent vapor production.

For the best results, I recommend preheating the unit. This will ensure enough vapor is created in the first hit, so you don’t have to endure the first few weak hits that 510’s are known for.

Compatibility and Versatility

On the side of the device is where you screw in the cartridge.

The Lookah snail 2.0 battery has an universal 510 thread design, so this vape battery can be used with 510 weed oil carts or as a concentrate vaporizer - Lookah Snail Wax Vaporizer Kit.

Lookah sells their own 510 wax atomizers which come in 4 different types, made from quartz, which do a great job of wicking even the thickest concentrates, offering a superior dabbing experience.

However, Due to the semi-hidden cartridge design, Its narrow cartridge area can limit compatibility with larger carts. So It can only support cartridges up to 1ml, Any fatter cartridges won't be able to fit.

Easy to use

The Lookah Snail 2.0 is user-friendly, featuring a straightforward single-button operation complemented by an LED light indicator.

This intuitive design simplifies the process of powering the device on and off, adjusting temperature settings, and engaging the preheat function.

Here are the basic steps on how to use the Lookah Snail 2.0:

Step 1: Screw your 510-thread vape cartridge onto the device.

Step 2: Unlock the device by pressing the button five times quickly.

Step 3: Cycle through the 3 temperature settings by pressing the button 2 times quickly.

The LED light will flash and display the current temperature setting.

Blue Led: 3.2V - Low
Purple Led: 3.6V - Medium
White Led: 4.1V - High

Step 4: Quickly tap the button 3 times quickly to initiate the preheat mode for 10s.

Step 5: press and hold the button while drawing from the mouthpiece of the cartridge. Release the button when you are done.

Step 6: To turn your device off, quickly click the fire button five times.

Charging the Lookah Snail 2.0 battery

The Lookah Snail 2.0 battery charges from zero to full in around 30 minutes through its Micro-USB port.

When the battery level is low, the LED indicator flashes red ten times, signaling its time to charge.

During charging, the LED flash red, and upon reaching a full charge, it turns to a solid green/cyan, indicating that the device has fully charged.

To charge it, connect the USB charging cable to the device's charging Micro-USB port at the bottom and a power source like a computer, wall adapter, or power bank.

Ensure the power source is compatible (typically 5 volts) and avoid using fast chargers unless specifically designed for the device.

Bottom Line

The Lookah Snail 2.0 vape battery, at only $22.94, offers great value and isn’t at all complicated to use. It’s stylish, portable, powerful, and discreet.

It serves any vaper looking for an unique, sleek battery and is a great addition to any vaper’s arsenal especially at its price point.

However, While 350mAh may suffice for light to moderate use, heavy users may find the battery life to be limiting, necessitating more frequent charges.

If you’re looking for larger battery life, modern usb-c chrging, or more temp settings, take a look at other 510 thread batteries like Lookah Zero (650mAh), Lookah Firebee (650mAh), Lookah FF1 (500mAh, five temps), etc.

That’s all from the Lookah Snail 2.0 battery review. I hope I have provided useful information on how Snail 2.0 works and what it offers.
